Many residents have expressed to me frustration over how our city has developed over the last few years. Residents of South Jordan want to be heard and they want to be engaged in the decision making process.
Yes, our elected city leaders have to make the hard decisions, but there is no reason for the decisions to be made without meaningful input from the residents. City leadership needs to stop looking at resident input as “one more box to check off” and start using the input as a tool for shaping the future of our great city.
If elected as your next city councilman I will work to implement new software that will open up the transparency of the city budget so you can see how your tax dollars are being put to use. I will also work to leverage online surveys that reach out to all residents and allow everyone the opportunity to be heard.
I promise to continue to work to foster a healthy, open dialogue that engages residents in the decisions that shape South Jordan. I recognize that when city leaders are willing to work with residents, that together we can create positive solutions to the issues facing our city.
